50th Anniversary Celebrations!

In July we celebrated our 50th Anniversary. This was a very special day for our school and village community. The children spent the week learning about the amalgamation of the two previous schools – St Michael All Angels and Belthorn Chapel School. On Friday 16th July we held a celebration to mark this special event.

We had a whole school picnic lunch to which we invited past pupils and our guests of honour, some original pupils of the first amalgamated Belthorn School. The afternoon’s events started with the ceremonial re-opening of the school, which was followed by the children’s 1960’s songs and dances and the Hat Parade.

The day ended with our summer fair organised by the PTFA with stalls, games and activities for everyone.

We had a wonderful day – hope you enjoy the pictures.
